Yes, you can take your dream photos and still enjoy cocktail hour!

A couple shares an intimate moment in a grassy meadow at sunset with rolling hills in the background at Ruins at Sassafras, New Lebanon, NY.

For the couples who are most excited about spending quality time with their loved ones: yes, you can spend time with your family and friends on your wedding day and of course, we can create meaningful and epic photos. Your day doesn’t have to be a production, it should be about you, your people, and your values.

I document weddings with organization, care, creativity, and a calm presence—so that you can be present in your day and confident that your photos will help you relive these moments for years to come.

We will make sure your timeline is balanced towards your priorities…I work for you, not my portfolio.

Thoughtful, artistic photography for couples who want to feel at ease and seen.

9+ years photographing weddings

I love weddings because of the deep meaning and connection that you bring to your day. I truly feel honored and privileged to be trusted to photograph weddings.

My empathetic approach is built on listening and calm. Understanding who you are and what is most important to you is paramount to creating an album that reflects you

Joyful newlyweds enter reception together under glowing string lights at The Barn at Villa Venezia in Middletown, NY Hudson Valley.

Shouldn’t your wedding be your happiest day, with no awkwardness in front of the camera?

Many of my couples during our first call: “But we’re usually awkward in front of the camera.”

Fast forward, and no one says this on their wedding day! From the very beginning we build a relationship, and on your big day I employ a natural prompting style so that your photos feel less “posed.”

Comfortable and at ease = an album that truly feels like you.

"The whole album is

a work of art"

We are so happy with how all our photos turned out with Matthew! He was great from the beginning. Prior to the event he had a detailed questionnaire to complete to make sure all the photos we wanted were accounted for.  The day of was great as well! He gave great instruction and was very organized so we never had to worry about getting any photos. To top it all off the photos are amazing!! We were beyond impressed with the initial teasers and when we saw the whole album, it really is a work of art! We couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out!

"Every special moment was

captured beautifully"

Working with Matt was an incredible experience.  The whole process felt seamless, which meant we spent less time posing for group photos and more time enjoying our day. He captured everything we asked for, and more. When we received the photos, we were absolutely blown away by the quality and quantity. Every special moment we could have imagined was captured beautifully. Matt’s eye for composition, his artistic style, and the way he brings out colors in his photos really showcase his talent.

From the moment he arrived, his calm, kind, and grounding energy set the tone for the entire evening. Beyond his amazing presence, his work speaks for itself. The photos left us absolutely speechless. Every image looked like it belonged in a magazine, yet still felt so personal and full of heart. He captured the perfect balance of candid moments and thoughtful details. Matthew is such a rare soul, unbelievably talented, but also deeply good-hearted. He’s a must-hire for your wedding where you want stunning, heartfelt photos that truly tell your story.

"Unobtrusive, yet always

at the right place"

Matthew made us feel comfortable and at ease throughout the day. Even during our first look, we truly felt like it was just the two of us and that we could be ourselves without cameras in our faces. One of the things we appreciated most was Matthew's ability to blend in with our guests while still managing to capture all the key moments. He was unobtrusive yet always in the right place at the right time. We highly recommend Matthew to anyone looking for a wedding photographer who will go above and beyond to ensure your day is captured perfectly.

On your wedding day I bring empathetic listening and a calm presence. Dad needs a chair while he’s waiting for his photo? I’m already getting it, and one for mom, too. Your niece has two more minutes until her nap time? Don’t worry, we’re doing that photo now.

How this works

step 1

We talk and get to know each other and your wedding day vision. This will guide our future planning to what’s most important for you.

step 2

We collaboratively plan your wedding. You will have a ton of knowledge from your Welcome materials, plus all of my experience gained from working dozens of weddings.

A couple in formal wedding attire shares a joyous candid moment reading vows to each other on bridge at Windham Manor, Hudson Valley, NY.

step 3

You have the best day ever! My team and I will be aware of your priorities and work tirelessly from our plan for the day to ensure that you enjoy your celebration with your loved ones.
