FAQ

How would you describe your style?

Modern, timeless, vibrant, realistic.
However, I actually love thinking about this question and could go on and on talking about photography style and why my images are different from others. The short version is that I am really into both landscapes and your individual story, and have a keen eye for observation. I compose and take photos that incorporate both the larger setting and smaller moments into your wedding photos so that YOUR unique day is documented.
My editing style is realistic, but does tend to lean slightly towards "moody" and "dramatic" by using contrast and light to highlight emotion and important events.

How long before the pictures are delivered?

We edit, color correct, and make other small changes to each and every photo that is delivered. Engagement sessions are usually delivered in 7-14 days, while a larger wedding will take longer, typically 3-5 weeks.

Are you Insured?

Yes, I am a fully incorporated LLC with liability insurance! I can provide a COI to your venue upon request.

How do you deliver the photos?

All of the completed albums are delivered to you via an email link from this website. They are yours to conveniently download and purchase prints of, which can all be done directly from the album. If you have any other requests, please don't hesitate to ask.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

We offer full day coverage and do not typically work hourly. Our typical departure time is the last formality (usually cake cutting), but it is not unusual for us to stay longer. When we develop the timeline we will work around your schedule and needs. Extra hours are available at an additional cost, if need be.

Do I have to order prints through you?

It is possible to conveniently order prints in a variety of formats and sizes directly from your online album. These print orders are professionally fulfilled by White House Custom Colour, and are excellent quality! However, the photos are yours once they are delivered so you can download them and order prints from anywhere.

Natural light vs. flash photography

I love how natural light can beautifully curtain over a subject, emphasize a moment, and depict a true moment in time.
I also add light when needed to artistically create an image, make a subject stand out from the background, tell a story more completely, and light a dark space like a reception hall. Whenever flash is used, it is still used in a realistic way.
