From the Hudson Highlands region with venues in Garrison, Cold Spring, and Beacon, to venues further upstate in Poughkeepsie, Saugerties, Middletown, and New Lebanon, there are so many great options that offer epic mountain and Hudson River views, beautiful intimate spaces, and attentive service.
With so many great options, finding the perfect venue can feel like a difficult task. You have to balance your needs and priorities, your family concerns, and your desired aesthetics...not to mention find the best food! The venues on this page are all event spaces that deserve your consideration. My goal with this venue guide is to provide you with info to help you make the best decision for your wedding.

The Ruins at Sassafras
New Lebanon, NY
- This historic venue is romantic and intimate, epic views of the mountains.
- Every corner is unique and beautiful, it feels like stepping into a Tuscan villa in the midst of the Hudson Valley.
- There are two houses on site that can provide accommodations for you and wedding parties, or for prep on the day of.
- The Chair Factory is rustic and vintage, yet modern and has great facilities while being able to accommodate up to 220 guests. Even with less, it will feel intimate and romantic. The view from the back is amazing!
- The Moroccan Bar is a wonderful indoor cocktail space, which can extend into the Terrace with good weather.
- Have your ceremony at The Ruins or The Rose Garden.
- So many more outdoor spaces that can bring your wedding day vision to life! Oh, and did I mention the gorgeous views??
- The organization is very impressive—Lara, the coordinator, runs a tight ship!

Fortune Valley Manor
Saugerties, NY
- A newer barn (300+person capacity), set on acres of idyllic landscape that includes a pond and a stream.
- Covered patio behind the barn offers a great place for cocktail hour with a view
- The interior of the barn is spacious, has high ceilings, and is beautifully built.
- The staff and the vibe are lovely--you'll feel like you and your family are celebrating in your own home. The owner, Kerri, is super organized and will do everything to ensure you have the wedding day of your dreams.
- Multiple outdoor locations for ceremonies, depending on your vision.
- Outdoor spaces alongside the pond to entertain guests with fire pits.
- Budget-friendly, while offering a top notch experience.

Boscobel House and Gardens
Garrison, NY
- History meets elegance meets an amazing view of the Hudson River.
- The centerpiece is the neoclassical mansion in the center of the grounds, but it is surrounded by acres of gorgeous gardens and sloping lawns inviting you to enjoy the views.
- Various options for your ceremony location, from the West Meadow to the courts and gardens. The Pavilion is a gorgeous, modern space that can host up to 250 people.
- The grounds, history, and gardens are beautiful and offer so many unique spots to enjoy your day and take photos!
- Located just outside of the village of Cold Spring, which has quite a few restaurant and Bed and Breakfast options.

The Garrison
Garrison, NY
- The BEST view. Nothing is better than having your outdoor ceremony looking out on the World's End section of the Hudson River, which winds off into the distance and is surrounded by mountains and cliffs.
- Sunset is epic here, with westward views taking advantage of the dancing light shining off the river below.
- The reception space is surrounded by glass windows, which gives all of your guests a chance to soak in the view.
- There are so many trendy and delicious restaurants nearby in Cold Spring, and for those who don't mind driving 20 minutes north or south, even more in Beacon or Peekskill.
- There are also a ton of cute area Bed and Breakfasts for you or guests who would like to make a weekend trip of your wedding.
- The spacious grounds have plenty of space for all of your events, activities, and photos.

- Beautiful ceremony space with optimal lighting. The outdoor ceremony area gets beautiful soft light filtering through mature trees when you start around 4:30 PM that avoids harsh overhead sun.
- Multiple photo locations, from exposed beam interiors with string lights to open fields and a paved patio with a fountain for quick background changes during portraits.

- Staff is super attentive to details and very professional...I have seen them handle extenuating, unforeseen circumstances with empathy and the type of confidence that comes from experience

The Grandview
Poughkeepsie, NY
- The cocktail hour food is AWESOME, and dinner is well prepared. It feels like an individual plate, not a mass-produced catered event.
- The view of Mid-Hudson bridge is fantastic, and the westward facing view provides front row seats to gorgeous sunsets over the Hudson River.
- It is more affordable than many other area venues.
- Brand new bridal suite/guest lobby with restrooms is beautiful and super functional.
- The outdoor ceremony space is right next to cocktail hour and reception, spacious, and beautiful.
- There is an indoor ballroom for bigger events.
- There is an attached restaurant, where they can do pre-event dinners.

Le Chateau
South Salem, NY
- This is in prime foliage country. Come here during the fall, even if it's to just drive around, appreciate the scenery, and get a cider!
- Sunset from the ledge is iconic. Everyone gets an amazing photo at the rock wall overlooking the valley.
- The indoor space is beautifully appointed and well maintained. It is a mix of quiet sitting room, modern lodge, and classy ballroom.
- There are getting-ready rooms for both of you, right down the hall from each other.
- The outdoor ceremony space is spacious and the landscaping is stunning. Photos in either direction have awesome backdrops.

Hollow Brook Golf Club
Cortlandt Manor, NY
- The country club is a one-stop venue, with everything provided and so easily accessible. The cocktail hour area and reception space flow beautifully and look out over the rolling hills of the scenic golf course.
- SO many iconic locations for photos!
- There are so many staff members available to help make your day the easiest and best possible.
